Step1: Profile & Educate

This one hour meeting is designed to help us to understand you - your needs and current financial situation, your realities and goals.  It is also the time for you to ask questions and evaluate Sheldon.   Then, if you are interested, a second meeting will be scheduled to present you a proposed investment and/or insurance strategy.

Here is a suggested list of items to bring to our first meeting:

  • A list of questions you would like to ask, no matter how big or small.
  • Your current personal and business financial statements from your financial institution(s) -Bank, Insurance Company, Investment Firm.
  • Notice of Assessment- this will tell us your RRSP Carry forward room.
  • Insurance documents – life, disability, critical illness
  • Mortgage amount and interest rate (if applicable)
  • Latest version of will (you do not have to bring it with you. Just make sure you can find it and that it is up to date. Consider things such, Who is your Guardian for your young children (under age 18) and Power of Attorney for financial matters and personal care).
  • Any other financial or goal-setting documents that you feel are relevant.
  • Pension Plan statements or forecast- Including those from current or past employers and CPP.
